Flaming Monks
Best new band name, am I right?
How many years have you spent in a buddhist monastery? Jeffrey Marsh spent nine. Nine! And they say that in those nine years, discovering themselves, in complete silence, they and the other monks were not to look at each other or speak to each other. They knew each other by their socks and chins.
Now Jeffrey Marsh is a fabulous best-selling author, life coach, non-binary influencer, and (my own term here) soul-healer. Vicki Kenyon invited me to her sponsored table last Friday for the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber National Coming Out Day Breakfast where Jeffrey Marsh was the key speaker. What was that like? Imagine feeling like you’re meeting a prophet and feeling the power of spirituality when you previously didn’t believe in religion. Healing magic.
The validation lesson for me in the magical experience of Jeffrey Marsh? Love yourself, love yourself a LOT, inside and out. Love yourself through all of the adversity. Love yourself through your work. Love yourself enough to love others.
You’ve heard this before: it starts with you.

International Pronouns Day - October 15th
Confession: I failed OPEN yesterday. I should have posted on LinkedIn and all other social media platforms our support of International Pronouns Day.
So I posted a belated one today. I am so sorry for dropping the ball.
Your identity matters!
🌟
Yes. I am a lot and I am doing a lot.
So if you wonder how on earth I can do everything I do… just know I am so appreciative of every beautiful human and inclusive brand who shows up and supports in any way they can. Ideas over coffee, sharing and reviewing the podcast, sponsoring the podcast and/or future OPEN events, volunteering to help, cheering on the initiatives, sending love, finding me the next colorful bold faux fur thrift item for me to be the pet-able huggable Muppet I am…
To be one of those supportive humans, feel free to tap an option here.
Sending you lots of love,
Wa’am

PS- my birth chart basically says I was born for this, according to Ana Devine. 🤩
