I lost count how many times I hear, “We just get so lost in the weeds.”

Yes, as busy business leaders, it’s all too easy to let the world whir by without sharing, or taking the time to fully acknowledge, the incredible impact you’re making. And then when you try to tell the stories, it’s difficult to share them in a consistent way that truly encourages your ideal stakeholders to fall in love with your business and help you with your mission.

This is normal. You are OK. You also need a little help from your writer friend.

Who. What. Where. When.

Chasing all the many shiny new platforms and trends is super fun, and can run us right off course. There is much to know about the people who will help you carry out your mission through to, hopefully, seeing your beautiful vision.

Who - Obviously you cannot please everyone, and not everyone will bring your business along the right path. Better understand who are your ideal clients, partners, advocates, influencers… They are precious in your relationship solar system. PITA planets might need a gentle nudge to a galaxy far, far away.

What - What do they want and need to hear from you? What tone and voice will you use? What words and content themes? What is the goal action(s) they need to take?

Where - Where do they play? Where do they work? Most likely we’re talking online. Where? If you’re trying to post only on Facebook but your ideal stakeholders hang out on LinkedIn, that’s not great.

When - Posting and sharing content only when you feel the urge might not be the best strategy for an effective marketing strategy.

What’s My Story?

In short, I’ve been in sales for decades. I won the cruise, the ski trip, the crystal plaques and vases… and in 2021 I decided to live the rest of my life as ME as I can be. So I came out as bisexual and a writer at the same time. No one was surprised. My Wa’am Writes business launched and continues to grow and pivot as I realign what both you and I need from each other.
