Your Gentle Reminder to Seek Wonder & Awe
Wishes for a Wonder-filled Week
Why We Need Wonder & Awe
May this newsletter find you comfortably engaged in your entrepreneurship, rested and recharged after Labor Day. It's all too easy to throw ourselves into another long list of tasks and lose sight of our big vision. Consider taking a moment to envision the gap between where you are now and where you want to be? This might be difficult to see while sitting at your desk, staring at your Inbox or LinkedIn feed, falling for social media envy or compulsive comparisons. Step away, unplug, get outside, and seek awe and wonder. Reflect. Capitalize on your human ability to immerse yourself in the elements and find yourself gasping, “Wow.”

Meet Robin, my trusty Royal typewriter. By the time you read this, I will have been unplugged for at least 24 hours, seeking awe and wonder at Two Lakes Campground, nestled between Lake Owen and Bass Lake, Wisconsin. I will return to the office, September 9th.
Awe and wonder are essential drivers of human innovation and growth. Amaze yourself with new possibilities. Wonder fuels our curiosity, pushing us to explore uncharted territories. Awe reminds us of the vast potential within ourselves and our communities, inspiring us to dream bigger and reach further.
Open your mind to the beauty of imagination. Don’t worry about creative solutions and inclusive approaches that can transform your personal life and/or business, yet. They will come to you after this brain vacation.
Share your epiphanies with me— what does that bridge look like between your current day and future vision now that you found awe and wonder?
What does turning creative dreams into tangible projects look like for us?
Rainbows, rainbows. Everywhere rainbows!
You probably experience this too, the more you invest into your community, the more beautiful true colors appear before you. I invite you to join me in these incredible opportunities showing up in the Wa’am Wonderverse.
Rainbows in Radio

Vicki Kenyon and Laura Paisley Beck at WORT Radio station, Madison, WI, for Queery.
The superhero extraordinaire, Vicki Kenyon, interviewed me live on her WORT radio show, Queery! There was a lot of love for our LGBTQ+ community to fit into 30 minutes, and somehow, by pure magic, we wrapped up a few minutes early. If you’re curious about the show, you can listen here.
Writing Rainbows
Writing this Interchangeable Action Novel© about a trans person’s journey and alternate story routes (to model loving and supportive behaviors), fills my heart. Stay tuned for this book in spring 2025. In the meantime, keep sending me requests to consider your idea for a book. I’m still open to scheduling books to ghostwrite for you or your organization.
Reading Rainbows
I decided to donate 100% of my author proceeds from selling Licensed to Sell at Novel Bay Booksellers on September 14th to Open Door Pride. My book event is from 1-3 PM, so please help me spread the word (feel free to use the above image to share online) and pack the place to fund this important LGBTQ+ organization.
Running Rainbows
Humans and Zombies sprint and shuffle to raise funds and awareness to create safe and just environments for LGBTQ+ youth.

Since I can’t show you anything yet… I’m going to leave you with this photo of my dog, Janis Pup, trying the SUP board with me for the first time. I hope this brings you a little sense of, “We can truly do anything,” vibes. And we will.

Janis Pup on Wingra Lake, Madison, WI. What you can’t hear is her Marge Simpson voice telling me she wants food.
Want to get on a SUP board together?
Thank you for taking time for this newsletter, and I wish you wonder-filled, awesome time for yourself, as well.
Warm rainbow wishes,
Laura Paisley Beck
