Why We’re Talking About Abundance
✨ I had a big milestone birthday and of course it got me thinking. Reflecting. Measuring. Meditating. And now it’s a Super Harvest Moon!
Think of what abundance means to YOU and your business?
Yes, money makes the world go ‘round. So do people, intentions, and actions. So we’re talking about abundance because I believe we are worthy of it. We are worthy of good energy, good people, good intentions, good incomes, and social good. Copious amounts of love, health, and positive influence. I deserve it, too.

I’ve given a lot away — the brightest planets in my relationship solar system are urging me to start earning what I am worth. Perhaps you have to as well. So let’s work on that together.
Read on for opportunities for collaboration.
✨ PS- there is a BIG exciting announcement coming up in a couple newsletters, so stay tuned.
SPREADING GLITTER
If you haven’t listened to Angelica Polmonari’s episode yet, I just relaunched it on Podbean! Why now? We are not alone, there are more heroes across the globe, and major companies in conservative places who practice good allyship on purpose.
I love her episode of Be The Glitter because she speaks so passionately about what’s going on with gender discrimination in Europe, and backed up her stories with data.
Plus we end the podcast with hope (that’s the glitter). So I urge you to:
✨ Give it a listen (who doesn’t love an Italian accent?),
✨ Subscribe,
✨ Give a Rating, and
✨ Share it with others.
That’s how the inspiration glitter spreads and we reach more listeners who need it.
🤩 And I’m so excited for the new guests lining up! Eeeee!
Uh Oh! The Impact of Misaligned Values
My sister was about to buy me a birthday gift and then looked up the company values. She found a long well-informed Reddit with all kinds of references and documented proof that a certain company for fountain pen enthusiasts was not putting their money or their actions where their pink-washed pride month mouth was (mouthful intentional).
To rub salt in the wounds of their LGBTQIA+ customers, they apparently feigned not supporting a fascist vendor, but brought them right back into their inventory.
So my sister spent her money elsewhere. Turns out she was not the only one.
Hundreds, if not, thousands of loyal fans stopped Following them on social media, deactivated their customer accounts, and found other venues for their beloved ink and fountain pen hobby. And they spread the word to others so they could collectively stop supporting the brand who actively funds a church who preaches anti-LGBTQIA rhetoric.
Here’s the thing… IF they are just as inclusive as they say they are in the month of June, then they need help. Big time.

Imagine how many other businesses have messed up their diversity, inclusivity, and/or equitable intentions and face waves of consequences. These companies need a strategic bootcamp to build up practices and proof of their socially-conscious operations. Perhaps in a collective where they can feel accountable to, and learn from, other mission-oriented businesses.
Imagine starting a venture with the lofty intentions of a double/triple bottom line (profit + people + planet), and their funding is coming from venture capitalist who are counting on them to follow through. It sounded nice in their pitch slides… but now they have to DO IT.

Notice the word “Impact” in my future offer? I know firsthand how amazing it feels to give what you can to non-profit organizations who actively support missions and causes you care about.
Imagine a business with strategies designed (and practiced) in order to afford the social impact they believe in. What words and phrases come up?
Mission-aligned, corporate social responsibility, creating shared values, etc.
What social impact does your business intend to make? Why? Who does it help?
Let’s discuss the answers in our next virtual coffee or in person walk-n-talk.

Journal Prompt: Worthiness
What does worthiness mean to you? What are you worth? Who determines that?
Why are we here? What comes with our birthright?
Now what do your customers think about worthiness? How do you help them feel worthy of your business? Of their impact on the community?
I’d love to hear what comes out when you try these journal prompts.
💡 Got a bright aha moment? Does it have something to do with how we can collaborate?
Inclusive Language Tip:
Use people-first language. This encourage us to embrace a person’s humanity first, and also reconsider how we label, categorize, or stigmatize groups of people. For example, instead of saying “disabled people” or “handicapped”, consider saying “people with disabilities” or “people who are other-abled”.
Thank you for reading. These past couple weeks have been packed with awesomeness! Seriously… so much!
Sending you lots of love,
Laura
